Thank you for visiting my site, this means a great deal to me.  

I am Aysegul Tan Saygili a I am professional & private chef & blogger of New York’s Delight. 

Born in 1981in Yalova, Turkey and raised in & is currently living in New York City since 1989. Is the oldest daughter & the sister of Aydin & the wife of Ahmet.  Aside from cooking, hold a BBA from Pace University & MS in Accounting from Long Island University and work as a private accountant.

1. When did your interest in food begin ?

I’ve always had a passion and unimaginable interest in food beginning at a very young age.  My aunt tells me I used to go to the library and pick up recipe books, come home and cook anything I found appealing! I still do!  Cooking, baking and crafting have always come naturally.  To this day, my mom still tries to kick me out of her kitchen.  

2. What is your experience with cultural & gourmet food ?

I, live & work in an environment where I am exposed to a variety of international & gourmet foods.  Having our own family business A&D Turkish Halal Meat & Grocery Market that specializes in Middle Eastern & Mediterranean Foods, maked and makes accessible to find, taste and cook with a wide variety of international foods and flavors.  Another real and first hand exposure to food, especially gourmet food came when I worked with Amish Markets & Garden of Eden, both located locally in the New York City tri-state areas.

3. Do you cook for private events & are you licensed?
